2008 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Plus
I played my Tokai Goldtop from 1985 to 2008 almost exclusively. Sure I had other guitars but if there was a fire, it was me and Goldie jumping out the window together. Of course this was before my wife and kids.
In 2008 I decided I would buy a new Les Paul. The Les Paul Traditional was a no brainer for me, it looked right and it felt right. In 2008 the retail price for a Les Paul was $2200, a steal if you ask me. At first I loved it. My main amp at the time was a Marshall JTM 45 reissue played through a 4x12 Greenback cabinet. Sometime later I was using a JCM 2000 DSL 50 and started gravitating towards Gibson SG's. Then one day I came across a Marshall SLP Plexi and after playing it for a few months I plugged the Les Paul into it and wham, bam, I'm was in love again.
Still if there was a fire I would get the wife and kids out first and then I'm going back in for Goldie.
